Wooly Inspirations
Wool Artist
by Jill Robinson

WoollyInspirations was created when her love of local wildlife, a joy of working with colour and an absolute obsession of exploring the possibilities of crafting with wool all combined.
Based in the East Neuk of Fife , she uses the medium of wool , usually coloured merino to create pictures of local birds and wildlife as well as domestic pets, sometimes people, sometimes landscapes. The process of the needle felting using the richly coloured merino gives the finished pictures a depth and vibrancy .
Other creations are her needle felted critters. These are mainly local birds and wildlife, first ‘sculpted ‘ by needle felting from locally reared sheep fleeces and then covered in a colourful layer of merino to imitate plumage and the fur etc of the various animals.
These little critters are so warm, soft and squishy, very tactile. As with any handmade item they are all unique with there own special charm.
